Why Choose me
Why Work with Me
I Show Up for the Jobs Bigger Contractors Ignore
Most contractors won’t bother with small jobs—hanging a shelf, fixing a leaky faucet, assembling furniture, or patching drywall. They’re too busy chasing big renovations.
I specialize in exactly those jobs.
When you call me, I treat your small job with the same care and professionalism as a major renovation. No job is too small, and no task is beneath me. You get a skilled handyman who actually wants to knock out your to-do list.
You’re Hiring Chris—Not a Call Center
When you call SmallJobs by Chris, you get me. Not a dispatcher. Not a subcontractor. Not a faceless company.
I’m the one who shows up, does the work, and makes sure you’re happy.
Fast, Reliable, and Easy
I know your time is valuable. I work efficiently, show up when I say I will, and make the whole process simple. No runaround. No excuses. Just honest work from a guy who takes pride in helping people check things off their list.

my Process
How It Works.
Step 1: You Call. I Listen.
You reach out by phone, text, or email. I answer promptly—no automated systems, no call centers. You get me, Chris.
We’ll talk about what you need done. I’ll ask a few questions to understand the job, and you can tell me about any other small tasks that have been piling up. I’m happy to tackle multiple jobs in one visit.
What you can expect:
A real conversation with the person doing the work
No pressure, no hard sell
A clear understanding of what you need
Step 2: I Quote. You Approve.
I’ll give you a fair, upfront quote—either by the hour or by the job, whichever works best for you. No hidden fees. No surprises.
If the job requires materials, I can either pick them up for you or give you a list if you prefer to supply them yourself. I’ll let you know exactly what to expect before I show up.
What you can expect:
Honest, transparent pricing
Options that fit your budget
Clear communication about materials and timing
Step 3: I Show Up. I Get to Work.
I arrive on time, ready to work. I bring my tools, my focus, and a respect for your home.
I’ll confirm the job with you before I start, answer any last questions, and then get after it. I work efficiently but carefully—because doing it right matters more than doing it fast. I clean as I go and minimize any disruption to your day.
What you can expect:
Punctual arrival
Respect for your home (shoes off or boot covers, clean workspace)
Focused, professional work
Step 4: I Finish. You Approve. I Leave You with One Less Thing to Worry About.
When the job is done, I’ll walk you through the work and make sure you’re 100% satisfied. If something isn’t right, I’ll make it right before I leave.
Once you’re happy, we settle up—cash, check, or digital payment, whatever works for you. I clean up the workspace, pack my tools, and head out.
What you can expect:
Your approval before I consider the job done
A clean workspace
One less item on your to-do list

About Me
A little about me…
You’ve got a list of small jobs. Big contractors won’t call back. You need someone who actually knows what they’re doing.
I’m Chris. For 14 years, I worked as a fire sprinkler fitter on some of the biggest buildings in Boston—skyscrapers, hospitals, high-rises. I learned that quality isn’t optional. It’s everything.
Now I’m putting that experience into my own handyman business. I specialize in the small jobs bigger companies ignore, and I treat every one with the same care I used on those Boston buildings.
I’m also a dad to 10-year-old twins, which means I know how to work efficiently, show up when I say I will, and get the job done so you can get back to life.
If you’re in Rhode Island or Massachusetts and need a small job done right, give me a call.
